Goldman Sachs Names Jane Dunlevie Co-Head of TMT Banking #
Goldman Sachs has named Jane Dunlevie to co-lead its technology, media and telecommunications investment banking group, according to an internal memo seen by The Information.
Dunlevie steps into the co-head role from her position as global chief operating officer of the same TMT group. The appointment is part of Goldman’s effort to place senior bankers ahead of what the bank expects to be a recovery in technology deal activity.
A Goldman partner since 2020, Dunlevie was a lead banker on Instacart’s initial public offering and played a central role in Stripe’s $7 billion private capital raise in 2023. She has also advised artificial intelligence companies including OpenAI. She joined Goldman as an analyst in 2007 after graduating from Stanford University, served as global head of internet investment banking within the TMT group, and then moved into the COO role.
The appointment follows Goldman’s restructuring of the TMT group in late 2025, when the bank created dedicated teams focused on digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence and hired Brian Cayne, a co-founder of boutique Qatalyst Partners, as co-head of software investment banking in January 2026.
With Dunlevie sharing leadership of the broader TMT group, Goldman is concentrating senior coverage on internet platforms, AI and high-growth software at a time when deal volumes are showing early signs of recovery after several subdued years.
