Anchorage Digital Brings USD Banking and Swift Access to Non-US Institutions Via Standard Chartered Tie-Up #

Anchorage Digital has partnered with Standard Chartered to extend US dollar accounts and Swift wire capabilities to eligible non-US institutional clients. The deal is part of the federally chartered crypto bank’s effort to combine traditional banking infrastructure with digital asset services on a single platform.

Through the arrangement, institutions onboarded via Anchorage Digital Singapore can hold USD balances, send and receive international wire transfers, and move funds to and from third parties using Standard Chartered’s banking infrastructure. Clients receive named virtual accounts with individual routing details and direct connectivity to Swift, and can also access Anchorage’s proprietary Atlas settlement network for digital asset operations.

One feature that distinguishes the service from conventional correspondent banking is round-the-clock settlement: clients banking with Standard Chartered Singapore can transact and settle 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends and public holidays. Correspondent banking typically operates on business-day schedules.

Anchorage Digital CEO and co-founder Nathan McCauley said the partnership addresses an operational tension for global institutional players. “Global businesses should not have to choose between the speed of digital assets and the reliability of traditional banking rails,” he said, according to reporting by Crypto Briefing.

Standard Chartered Global Head of Fintech Luke Boland said the deal combines the bank’s payments and risk infrastructure with Anchorage Digital’s regulated platform, making it easier for institutional clients to manage fiat and digital assets across borders without using multiple service providers.

The service targets global trading firms, crypto exchanges, protocols, neobanks, banks, asset managers, family offices, and multinational corporates. Anchorage Digital said the move is also intended to strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, where it sees growing institutional demand for regulated digital asset infrastructure.

Anchorage Digital is the first federally chartered digital asset bank in the United States. The Singapore expansion follows earlier efforts to make dollar-denominated banking available through Anchorage Digital Bank N.A. for domestic clients. The Standard Chartered partnership extends equivalent capabilities to international institutions through the Singapore entity.
