Volante Brings USDC Into Its Bank Payments Platform in Deal With Circle #

Volante Technologies, a payments-as-a-service provider whose clients include four of the world’s five largest corporate banks and seven of the ten biggest U.S. banks, has announced a partnership with USDC issuer Circle Internet Group to add stablecoin capabilities to its payments platform.

The deal, disclosed on September 28, integrates USDC into Volante’s AI-powered Payments Platform, letting financial institutions run stablecoin transactions alongside existing payment rails without building a separate digital-asset system. The supported workflows cover the full transaction lifecycle: minting, redemption, beneficiary wallet registration, funding, notifications, and wallet-to-wallet payment execution.

Deepak Gupta, Volante’s chief product, engineering and delivery officer, said the collaboration is about integrating a new rail into the payment infrastructure banks already depend on, not constructing an entirely separate digital-asset environment.

Circle’s chief product and technology officer, Nikhil Chandhok, said financial institutions need practical ways to understand how digital dollars can fit within their existing systems, controls and processes, and that the collaboration is intended to serve as a bridge from experimentation to execution.

Banks using the platform can assess how USDC interacts with their operational controls and on- and off-ramp requirements from within their existing environment.

The two companies also plan to explore further collaboration, including potential joint go-to-market efforts and integration with Circle Mint. The announcement follows Circle’s listing on the New York Stock Exchange, as the company works to expand USDC’s presence in mainstream banking and corporate treasury operations.
