Bank of America Launches AI Payments Insights Tool and AskGPS Intelligence Hub at Sibos 2026 #
Bank of America announced two AI-powered tools for its treasury and payments clients at Sibos 2026 in Miami.
The first, Payments Insights, is a new feature in the bank’s CashPro platform. Announced on 28 September, it gives corporate and commercial clients data on payment efficiency, cross-border flows, and working-capital performance across their US accounts. The tool draws on the bank’s CashPro Data Intelligence suite, using proprietary peer benchmarking and dynamic visualizations to help treasury teams identify trends and potential issues. Bank of America said CashPro processed 213 million payments in the first half of 2026, up 10% year on year.
The second tool, also announced 28 September, is the AskGPS Intelligence Hub, an internal generative-AI system for Global Payments Solutions employees. Its main module, Enhanced Relationship Insights, analyzes client, product, and activity signals to surface talking points and flag structural changes in fund flows. The bank said the tool is intended to move GPS teams from knowledge access to what it called “decision-ready intelligence.”
Both tools follow a cross-border real-time payments service the bank announced in June 2026. That service lets corporate, commercial, and financial-institution clients send and receive funds instantly through Swift or CashPro, targeting high-volume, low-value person-to-person and business-to-consumer transfers. The bank said it would deliver full-principal preservation with no deductions or lifting fees and real-time status tracking until funds reach the beneficiary. The service was scheduled to launch within the quarter following the June announcement, which the bank said aligned with Sibos timing.
Bank of America also reported that clients used the CashPro mobile app to authorize more than €100 billion in payments in the first seven months of 2026, with transaction volume up 25% and payment value up 21% over the same period last year.
Sibos 2026 is organized by Swift under the theme “Digital Finance for AI-Driven Economies” and is the first time the annual conference has been held in the United States.
