Revolut CEO raises possibility of dual listing in New York and London #

Revolut founder and chief executive Nik Storonsky has said Europe’s most valuable private fintech is considering a simultaneous stock market debut on Nasdaq in New York and the London Stock Exchange, the first time he has publicly raised the idea of a dual listing.

In an interview with French newspaper Les Echos, Storonsky said the company’s primary preference is the United States, citing the depth of American capital markets. “It’s a larger market. It includes institutional investors, hedge funds, fund managers and a considerable number of individual investors,” he told the publication. “So we have the choice between selling in a small market with few buyers, or in a gigantic market with a huge number of buyers who will compete fiercely for our shares.” He confirmed a London listing is also under consideration.

The comments walk back a position he held as recently as 2024, when he said publicly that London’s stock market “can’t compete” with Wall Street and pointed to the 0.5% stamp duty on share trades as a structural disadvantage. Recent UK regulatory changes appear to have influenced his thinking: new rules allow large companies like Revolut to be fast-tracked into the FTSE 100 within five days of listing, making it easier for index-tracking funds to participate from the first day of trading, according to Tech Research Online.

Revolut was most recently valued at $115 billion following a secondary share sale. A dual listing at that valuation would place the company among the top 15 listed firms in the UK by market capitalisation and could put it ahead of Barclays and NatWest Group. It would also make Revolut the first company to debut simultaneously in New York and enter the FTSE 100 in London, according to analysts cited by Yahoo Finance.

The company opened its new global headquarters in London’s Canary Wharf in late September 2025, with UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves attending the opening. Revolut has committed $13 billion to global expansion over the next five years, including a $4 billion investment in the UK expected to create more than 1,000 jobs. The company now serves more than 65 million customers worldwide, 12 million of them in the UK.

Storonsky has previously indicated a public market debut could come within two years, subject to market conditions. The company has also said it plans to expand its US customer base before listing to strengthen its case with American institutional investors.
