New York-based financial infrastructure startup Fin.com has disclosed its existence publicly for the first time, announcing a $20 million seed round after growing its annual recurring revenue more than 50-fold since the start of the year, the company said in a press release on September 15.
The round closed in August. Expa, the venture studio co-founded by Uber co-founder Garrett Camp, led the investment. Coinbase Ventures, Tenet Fund, the founders of Figure, Mesh founder Bam Azizi, Second Sight Ventures, and sovereign and royal family offices in the Gulf and Africa also participated. Before the announcement, the company had not given a media interview, published a post, or publicly confirmed its existence.
Fin.com was co-founded by Nabeel Alamgir, a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree who previously founded restaurant tech company Lunchbox, and Mustafa Dar, founder of 24/7 Jet and a venture partner at Expa. Both are immigrants whose experience navigating the friction and cost of international money transfers influenced the company’s direction. The name is shorthand for “finishing the job,” and both founders reportedly have it tattooed on their bodies.
The company runs a single orchestration layer that lets businesses collect, convert, and move money across borders through local payment rails, USD virtual accounts, SWIFT, and stablecoin settlement, all under one compliance and liquidity network. Its white-label infrastructure is used by major payments and money-transfer platforms, prediction markets, and digital-asset exchanges. The company estimates its technology reaches 825 million end users through those customer relationships.
Rather than entering new markets from scratch, Fin.com has expanded through acquisitions, completing seven deals and integrating licensed, locally established operators into its network. The company is profitable, employs more than 200 people across six offices, and processes billions in payment volume spanning more than 51 countries. A bank acquisition is planned within the next six months, according to the release.
Fin.com targets markets where cross-border money movement remains highly fragmented: the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. The company also has offices in Las Vegas and Dubai alongside its New York headquarters.
The funding comes as the stablecoin market has grown sharply. The combined stablecoin market capitalization surpassed $305 billion in September, up more than 77% year over year, following the passage of the U.S. Genius Act in July 2025, which established the first federal regulatory framework for dollar-pegged stablecoins. Competitors in the space include Circle, BVNK, and Stripe-owned Bridge. The founders have said their immigrant backgrounds and on-the-ground presence in underserved corridors differentiate Fin.com from those rivals.
