DC Advisory Brings Silicon Valley Tech Banking Veteran to Dublin as Director #
DC Advisory has appointed Mark Jennings as a director in its Technology & Software team in Dublin, expanding the investment bank’s coverage of Ireland’s technology sector.
Jennings joins after more than a decade advising technology companies and investors on both sides of the Atlantic. He most recently served as an executive director in Morgan Stanley’s Technology Investment Banking division in Menlo Park, California, where he advised on technology sector transactions. Before Morgan Stanley, he held roles at UBS, Rothschild & Co, CVC and Zouk Capital.
Jennings holds an MSc in Civil Engineering with a focus on Atmospheric Science and Energy Systems from Stanford University.
Tom Godfrey, CEO of DC Advisory Ireland, said the hire reflects the firm’s ambition to deepen its technology practice. Godfrey cited Jennings’s “rare combination of Irish roots, Silicon Valley experience and deep transaction expertise” as the main reasons for his appointment, adding that his understanding of what founders and investors are looking for makes him a strong fit for the Dublin team.
Jennings said he was attracted to DC Advisory because of its combination of sector expertise and international reach. In Ireland, DC Advisory operates under the IBI Corporate Finance banner and is the only international investment bank with a local presence in the country. The broader team spans nearly 70 bankers across Europe, Asia and the United States, who advised on 184 transactions globally over the past 12 months, including 60 cross-border deals.
Dublin has drawn increased attention from technology-focused financial services firms in recent years, with global banks and advisory firms expanding their Irish practices to serve domestic tech companies and international firms that have established European headquarters in the city.
