Farther Raises $150M for WealthTech Expansion #

Farther has raised $150 million in a Series D round led by General Atlantic, its second fundraising round in less than a year. The New York-based registered investment advisor said it has grown to more than $23 billion in recruited assets since its founding in 2019, with CapitalG, Bessemer Venture Partners, Cota Capital and MassMutual Ventures also participating in the latest round

The funding matters because Farther is part of a group of younger technology-driven RIAs trying to attract advisors through proprietary platforms and integrated wealth management tools. The company has been recruiting advisors from independent broker-dealers and standalone RIAs, and recently launched a multi-family office for ultra-high-net-worth clients.
