Amazon and Visa have formed a partnership to accelerate agentic commerce — AI-driven shopping where digital agents research, compare, and complete purchases on behalf of users — according to PYMNTS. The collaboration is designed to ensure that AI agents can transact securely and reliably across Amazon’s marketplace using Visa’s global payment infrastructure
Under the initiative, Visa will provide tokenized payments, fraud prevention tools, and real-time authorization technology to support autonomous shopping agents. Amazon will integrate these capabilities into its retail ecosystem, enabling AI-driven purchases that follow established consumer protections and payment standards
