ECOMMPAY integrates Apple Pay QR for seamless in-store payments #
ECOMMPAY has added support for Apple Pay’s new QR payment feature, enabling merchants to accept in-store payments via QR codes that customers scan using their iPhone, according to Finextra. The integration allows shoppers to complete purchases through Apple Pay without needing a physical POS terminal, offering a faster and more flexible checkout flow
The feature is designed for retailers looking to streamline queues or deploy lightweight payment setups at events, pop-ups, or service-heavy environments. Once the QR code is scanned, the payment is authenticated with Face ID or Touch ID and processed through ECOMMPAY’s gateway, maintaining the same security and privacy standards as traditional Apple Pay transactions
ECOMMPAY says the integration supports both one-time and recurring payments and complements the company’s broader strategy to expand omnichannel solutions for merchants across Europe and the UK. The rollout comes as QR-based payments continue gaining momentum globally due to low hardware requirements and strong user adoption.
