IBM launches digital asset platform for enterprises #
IBM has launched a new digital asset platform aimed at helping financial institutions and corporations issue, manage, and transact tokenised assets on permissioned blockchain networks. As reported by Finextra, the platform enables clients to digitise traditional financial instruments—such as bonds, funds, and invoices—while maintaining regulatory compliance and interoperability with existing systems
Built on Hyperledger Fabric and integrated with IBM’s existing cloud and security stack, the platform supports smart contract automation, digital custody, and settlement functionalities. IBM says the solution is designed to reduce operational friction and enhance transparency across the asset lifecycle—from issuance and trading to reconciliation and reporting
The initiative underscores IBM’s renewed push into blockchain-based financial infrastructure following its earlier enterprise blockchain ventures. With growing institutional demand for tokenisation frameworks, the company aims to position itself as a trusted technology partner for regulated digital asset ecosystems.
