Discover the Disrupt 2023 Fintech Stage #
TechCrunch Disrupt, the annual event for startup founders and investors, has announced its new format for the upcoming event to be held from September 19-21, 2023 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
The event will now feature six industry tracks, including fintech, AI, hardware, SaaS, security, and sustainability. In particular, the Fintech Stage will explore the latest trends and challenges in the fintech industry via panels and fireside chats featuring top executives in the field. The specific areas of focus for the 2023 event include the future of payments, the sustainability of buy now, pay later models, scaling blockchains to onboard masses, and the value of embedded tech.
While the pandemic has accelerated the digital transformation of financial services, fintech as a concept has been evolving over the past few years, encompassing payments, banking, credit, and crypto. The fintech industry continues to draw significant investment, with companies in this space receiving the most venture funding worldwide. Although venture funding slowed down in 2022, fintech was still the top recipient of venture dollars globally. The opportunity for investment in fintech continues to attract investors, with Sequoia Capital and Andreessen Horowitz investing more in fintech than any other category in 2022.
Disrupt 2023 will provide a platform for industry leaders to share their insights on the fintech landscape and its future developments. The event aims to improve the lives of people globally by giving more options when it comes to spending, saving, and investing money, while also opening up access to previously underserved segments of society. Early bird passes for Disrupt 2023 are currently on sale, offering a saving of $800 if booked by May 14.
