SumUp launches new Kiosk solution to support fast order processing for merchants #
SumUp, a fintech company, has launched its new Kiosk solution, aimed at improving the speed of order processing for small restaurants and stadiums. The solution allows customers to order, pay and collect their orders via self-service kiosks, freeing up merchants to focus on other business operations. The Kiosk is fully customisable and has integration options for payments and Point of Sale, as well as support for complex product categories and dynamic price books.
The Kiosk solution comes as consumer habits have changed during the pandemic, with contactless ordering and service now preferred. Research shows that millennials and Gen Z prefer contactless ordering with minimal interactions. Kiosks may also support merchants by increasing the volume of orders they receive, with self-order kiosks typically increasing basket size by as much as 30%.
The solution has already been successfully rolled out in several stadiums and venues throughout the UK, including Leicester City Football Club, Cardiff City Football Club, and Leicester Tigers RFC. The kiosk is fully customizable and offers integration options for payments and point of sale. Merchants can also manage the kiosks remotely.
Joseph Flynn, head of order and pay at SumUp, said that the launch of the Kiosk solution is a testament to the company’s continued commitment to helping businesses thrive and succeed. The Kiosk solution is the latest addition to its expanding product ecosystem, which includes SumUp One, POS Lite, POS Pro, and Magic Pay. SumUp aims to make the Kiosk solution attractive to both consumers and retailers alike, by speeding up service to customers and allowing merchants to focus on other business operations.
Helen Craddock, Strategic Support Director of sports and entertainment caterer Levy UK + Ireland, has partnered with SumUp and praised the Kiosk solution, saying that “SumUp has developed something that fits our business and it is great to be working with a partner who shares our vision on the ever-evolving way consumers choose to pay.”
