Gimo, a Vietnamese fintech start-up, has raised $5.1 million in a series A funding round led by TNB Aura. Existing investors Integra Partners, Resolution Ventures, Blauwpark Partners, ThinkZone Ventures and Y Combinator also participated in the funding round.

Co-founded by Quan Nguyen, Gimo aims to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) with digital transformation by providing them with access to finance. The company secured a $1.9 million seed extension round in 2021 and is currently raising debt capital.

The newly raised funds will be used to bolster product development and drive revenue growth, Nguyen said. Gimo’s platform leverages data to provide insights to SMEs, helping them make more informed business decisions.

TNB Aura, a Singapore-based venture capital firm, primarily invests in early-stage startups in the Southeast Asia region. The firm has a portfolio of over 60 companies across sectors including fintech, e-commerce, and healthcare.

With the latest funding round, Gimo plans to further expand its platform and strengthen its position in the digital transformation space. The company believes its platform will help SMEs achieve their growth goals by providing them with the right financial tools and insights.
