Ceviant acquires PSSP licence from CBN #
The Central Bank of Nigeria has given Ceviant, a UK-based financial technology company that helps businesses with treasury and trade solutions, a Payment Solutions Service Provider (PSSP) licence.
With this licence, Ceviant is now legally able to help its customers in Nigeria send and receive money electronically and process payments.
With the permissions given by this licence, organisations can centrally manage their banking operations, such as account balances, payments, transactions, etc., using a single API and web interface provided by their banking partners.
With the UK FCA licence, Ceviant has access to the UK financial services ecosystem. This makes it easier for businesses to manage payments and transactions.
With these two licences, the fintech company is now able to provide a wider range of financial services to customers across Europe and Africa.
Ceviant, based in London with additional offices in Bucharest and Lagos, is a SWIFT partner and ISO-certified. The company is already doing business in Nigeria and the UK, and it wants to grow in other EMEA countries.
